Feeling down

I feel down in the dumps. I feel like I can’t smile and that I will never smile again. My heart is racing and my anxiety is at 99% at the moment. I usually try to respond to most posts on where but looking through them this morning I don’t feel as though I can.

Why does anxiety try to take away our happiness and why does it insist it’s staying !!!!

I’ve perked up now. And I can have happy times but when I feel down it feels like your stuck in a rut.

Really sorry to hear how bad you are feeling.

Are you on any medication or having therapy at all.

My thoughts and best wishes are with you

Hey Kim , I see a therapist every week mostly and no medication due to my work. I take a small dose of propanol. I don’t tend to suffer with depression on a bad level. Just my mood drops now and then when I’m stressed out or anxious. I’ve made a 90% improvement over the years but it still lingers.

Our lives just become an existence, I don't enjoy anything anymore really. All we ever do is cope!

There has to be an easy answer. Not over thinking is a good one, but it's hard not to do it, because it's become a habit.

Hey funky , I have to disagree with that. Any life is more than just an existence and should be valued , enjoyed and lived to the full.

Overthinking is for sure not good for you but by surrounding your self with the right people and help inc support can go a long way. I’m sorry to hear your feeling this way. I’m sure anyone on here will be able to relate to how your feeling.

It's OK, it's just that as much as I do still try and do things, such as just been on a walking holiday. I feel dreadful all day and constantly fighting the symptoms tires me out.

So yes I do go out etc, but there is no enjoyment of me anymore. I'm sure it will change....

I’m similar on holiday. I think it’s because we expect to feel this way and when we are busy and occupied we feel better because we don’t realise the symptoms but then we get tired because we are always busy.

Anxiety and stress can cause many awful symptoms. I’m currently sat having eye twitches and muscle spasms in my face lol. Comes and goes ....
