Morning anxiety and panic attacks

Does anyone else wake up in the morning with a panic attack or severe anxiety? I want to sleep later, I want to stay in bed, but I'm so anxious I have to get up. I'd like to know if anyone has some advice or some tricks they use to prevent this from happening.

I can relate, mornings are the hardest I have found, but am beginning to realize it’s just a false thought. I try to get to bed earlier and if I wake up- I try to think about future events that I enjoy.

Sometimes mornings are the worst for me but I just try and focus on happy things if I'm feeling anxious

Hi elephantlover. I would like to tell you that you are not alone with feeling anxiety in the mornings. I personally, wake up in the morning and feel like I'd rather stay in bed and hide under the covers. But I have found out that it is just a lie that is placed in my head that I allow to control me. I overcome it by focusing on positive things. I tell myself positive things as well. It actually happened to me just this morning. So I know it is very real. Believe in yourself. Hugs :)

Yes, mornings can be horrible. I find that it is better for me to get up instead of laying in bed worrying and obssessing. I try to shower right away and I start to feel better. Putting one foot in front of the other gets you through the day.

Thank you. It's just when it starts at 5am, I wanna bash myself on the head so I can sleep later☹

I get it! Anxiety is hell. But, you are not alone.

Are you on any meds for this? I am supposedly on a group of meds to help, but I fear it is not working.

I am for depression and it's supposed to help anxiety, but it doesn't...

I have been using CBD oil as well. Take it first thing in the morning and it helps me relax.

I've heard a bit about cbd oil, I guess I should look into it. Thanx

Now I am having morning anxiety! Yes I super agree with dogluva, take a shower right away and feel better, then keep yourself busy.

That does sound like good advice! I go right for my CBD vape pen. It does help.


I was wondering if you were still having your morning anxiety or if you had found a way through?
