What are some ways to motivate yourself to become healthier (eat a balanced diet and exercise)?

I gained 70+ lbs over a year because I was not dealing with my anxiety issues. My body is now paying the price :(

I think everybody deals with things differently. I know I can’t eat when I’m going through bouts of anxiety so I lose weight. Of course eating a balanced diet and exercise are always good things to do. The weather is getting nicer to be outside walking if you can. Maybe find a hobby. What is it you like to do?

I love to hike, but the last time I went I was so out of breath and my calves were burningggg. So it kind of opened my eyes to how sedentary I have become. I find a lot of comfort in food. Especially sweets! I am a full-time grad student and have two little ones. So managing them while managing my anxiety has been difficult. My physical health is a last priority :(

your physical health should be One of your top priority especially for your little ones. Just take small hikes Little by little it will get easier. I do understand what you’re saying though the last time I tried to hike I had to stop about 20 times but I did it and it was fun

I couldn't agree more.. my kiddos go with me hiking and they get a little disappointed that I can't keep up with them when they're running along. It breaks my heart. But I get comfortable with my body this way even though I hate it. I can't get myself out of this mind frame.

I know it’s hard I have been on the couch all winter. Got out today and did some yard work and my body is sore but it’s a good sore
