hello everyone basically my health anxiety is really getting to me im scared weeks back my mouth felt wierd same as tongue on and of it was i went doctors and she looked in my mouth and said everything was okay and i told her what inwas worried about (allergies) and she said they look for swelling ect but my lips looked sore so i could be getting a cold sore (the next day i had one) anyway it calmed down ect and now ots back and im so scared i dont want to eat or anything because im scared im 22 i emailed allergies UK and she said itz rare as you get older with allergies but i don’t no what to think anymore ☹️ xx

It is very understandable to worry about allergic reactions when we hear such alot about extreme food allergies people have with serious consequences these days on the media. However these extreme ones are very rare.

You have been to the doctor and have been told you are fine. It is almost certainly your anxiety causing you to over worry and thus in itself will make any symptoms you have worse.

The key to this is to try to ignore the symptoms and not be afraid of them and they will go away.

If you manage to do this but your symptoms persist go back to your doctor and I am sure that they will be able to reassure you once again.
