Does anyone else deal with a constantly fatigued feeling from their anxiety? I keep worrying that I might be tired all of the time because of some sort of underlying illness, but the doctors don’t seem to think anything is wrong with me. I have been worried and stressed out for nearly 2 months straight now and I just want to feel normal again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Always Tired
Hi Nervy,
The tiredness is probably due to all the worrying & anxiety. It really takes it out of you when your brain is constantly on the go & the old adrenaline pumping round your body. Its hard to relax and rid yourself of doom & gloom thoughts but i find the app Headspace works well for me, i use the free bits on there & after a bit of practise i can focus on what he's saying & feel so much better after.
Hope you start to relax & feel better soon x
Yes I do feel tired all the time and scared that I will faint. Iron and vit B supplements helped me before with this dizzy feeling but I also have low BP and I am deficient in iron and vit B..so I wouldn’t advise anyone to take supp if they don’t need it. You should check it with your doctor, if he is willing to help. doctors I went to usually weren’t so friendly and just told me “it’s all due to anxiety” and didn’t take me seriously (subjective feeling) it also frustrates me
Yes. My anxiety and stress definitely exhausts me.
My only advice (and this barely works for me) is mindfulness. It’s one of the only ways I can cope with my anxiety.
Perhaps you could try the VA mindfulness application. It has made it so much easier for me. Mindfulness can help but it doesn't change over night. I also walk and do yoga and Ti Chi Perhaps you could find a YouTube video someone that isn't trying to sell from the beginning and has a basics or beginners videos. The Exercise might make the difference.
Worrying leaves u feeling drained. Have u tried walking during the day, taking deep breaths, observing you’re surroundings? Take long warm baths and avoid caffeine!! Mindfulness is really helpful for letting go of those stressful feelings. 🙏
Find another doctor, pretty much anxiety and depression go hand in hand. With that comes horrific exhaustion,. I spend 80% of my time in bed, everyday basic things I can't do. I talk myself out of doing things I know need to be done, I get my daughter sometimes to shop for me and miss out on time with my grandson.
Hello, I understand your concerns and they may be valid. When the doctors told me that my upset stomach was just my nerves and I started having severe acid reflux, they just put me on antacids. Stronger and stronger antacids, I started to track my symptoms- every burp, fart, stomach pain to include what I had eaten. I noticed that I was barely eating and that I hadn't had a bowel movement in I don't know how long. My digestive track was shutting down. I did research to see what to do. But when you write down everything, then you can start seeing patterns and figure out what to tell the doctor. They sent me to a dietitian and a health coach to help me keep track of everything. Now I am regular again and feel much more alive. The health coach put me into some programs to help control my anxiety. It is helping. I also do yoga which has really helped me relax.
If you don't have good health insurance, perhaps the United Way can help you find resources. But look for a whole health program. Someone that listens to all your symptoms without white washing anything. The health coach actually read my diary and spotted stuff that I had been missing. I only had to do the diary for about a month before we discovered all the problems. Now I am in programs that are actually working. My health and attitude are improving. You can feel better, It will just take time and work.
