Body twitching

For those of you that have had or currently have body twitches how long did they last for you...weeks, months, years. Constant or once in awhile. I overthink these everyday and they have been pretty constant for at least 8 months. Can they really last this long just with anxiety? I try not to let it freak me out but I cant help it.

Yes the twitches can be consistent and it can also calm down for a min and seem to go away and then it can come back. I've had twitching in all different parts. One minute it's my eye, next it's my legs. But so far for me the twitching has been on and off for over two years.

I was also wondering when they would stop. I get them all over my body and face too. Mine started in my eyes a year ago and now its its constant in my pinky finger. It is really stressing me out. How do you deal with the twitches? I am scared I might something reall serious going on.

I try not to worry about it too much but for me they are still a daily thing with me. Currently i dont take any medications. I have been getting them for so long now i tell myself hopefully ita not serious.

I had them about a year and a half ago, just once in a while like a bicep would flap around or the muscles around a knee would go nuts for a minute or so, then nothing for a while. Then a few months ago I got some strange virus and now I have them almost constantly all over and in places I never had them before. Like sometimes the muscle around my thumb will feel like someone is pulling an invisible string and making the muscle go back and forth a little, or like little rain drops on my head, but it's all twitches. Saw 3 neurologists, 1 endo, 1 ENT, 1 internal med, a few GPs, and a Chinese medicine doc and everyone tells me it's benign. Which my mind interprets as "benign = I have no idea what it is but you don't look like you're dying so have a nice day!". To be frank, if I take a Xanax before bed, I feel amazing the next day and don't notice twitching at all, at least until the evening when they start creeping back.

I tried Lyrica(pregabalin), Xanax, Zopiclone, several kinds of supplements(my electrolytes are all normal but tried anyway), and nothing did anything except the Xanax or Zopiclone before bed. The first two Neurologists said it's likely anxiety that's causing this, but I do meditation and jog in the evenings and I haven't had a coffee in months, so I kinda feel anxiety reason is BS but given Xanax sort of works perhaps it is?

I do notice caffiene makes them worse for me. I too have been to my primary dr and neurologist and both told me anxiety. Neurologist said either lack of sleep caffeine stress or exercising can cause them. I worry because they are in the most random places like my cheeks, or palm of hand also the arches of my feet.

Went to see neurologist and three different doctors and I was told it could be due to my thyroid problems. I twitch everywhere. I was told to stop drinking caffeine but I dont drink anything with caffeine. Do you twitch in your biceps too?
