Hi all, yesterday I got my appointment with the therapist just waiting for that day to come. In the meantime I've been doing more exercise, eating slightly better and getting more sleep but this isn't perfect and by that I mean one day I'm great and the next I'm down, struggling to leave bed and even engage with my friends. I've read alot about CBD and was wondering if anyone has had success with this for anxiety? I know this isn't (in the UK anyway) something a doctor would ever recommend as hemp has always been a red flag but I was hoping to hear from anyone who has tried it, whether it has been beneficial or not. Thank you and have a great day

Hi there. I haven't tried any CBD yet but I know a couple of people that has & still use it. They said it really helps them a great deal. I think they use the oil form of it. So far the head space app is still helping me a lot & that's why I haven't tried CBD yet. Good luck to you & I hope you find what helps you soon! 😊
I've never heard of that head space app ill have a look into that, how has that been for you?
It's truely been great for me. I honestly never thought I could do any type of meditation. The app is so easy to use. The free version has a lot on it & that's how I started out. It has definitely taught me to look at anxiety differently & manage it much better than I'd ever thought. I started off doing 3 min sessions, then 5 then 10. Give it a try!
Hi Kelli, are you doing the Managing Anxiety series on Headspace? I'm on day 23, and I think it's helping me quite a bit.
I take CBD gummies when I'm about to be in a particularly stressful situation, and they seem to take the edge off.
Hi. I finished all of the free version sessions & i just recently subscribed & yes I'm starting that now. I love this app. Can't tell ya how much it's helped me! Of course I still have some days but nothing like b4. I hope it continues to help you as well !
Hi Kel been using headspace last few days and I must say it has really helped alot I can't thank you enough for letting me know! Learning to control my thoughts through breathing never thought meditation was for me to be honest lol
Yes I use it to sleep. And if I am very anxious. I find it calms my thoughts and I can think clearly. I really think it helps. You don't need much just a few drops. And its not habit forming.
I’m also waiting for my first therapy appointment. I hope we both get a lot out of it!
Yeah I really hope we do personally don't think therapy is for me but I'm so against taking anti depressants/anxiety medication I'm doing whatever will help to avoid them options. How are you feeling for your first session
I’m really excited and kinda nervous. I’m trying not to expect too much from the first session because I know the therapist and I need time to get to know each other, but I’ve been trying to get into therapy for a long time now. I have ADHD as well as anxiety and I’m really hoping to finally get help for both things as well as figure out why I’m like this and how to use my differences to my advantage. (I have to keep reminding myself that this will take time tho)
I spoke with 2 people yesterday who swear by it. They said it is helping with their anxiety and depression. Let us know if you try it!
Yeah will do
Thanks, I would love to try it but I have a really hard time taking anything. I take Lexapro, Remeron, and Klonopin. All of which I hate and would love to wean off of. If you can stay away from the antidepressants and anti anxiety drugs, I would suggest you do. I wish I had never started them. They are extremely hard to wean off of.
Yeah I'm really against taking any medication even for pain (I do take pain pills but try not to) I just hate the side effects from any pill and the impact it has on some people. I do hope you can seek help with CBD and try wean off them drugs. I'll keep you posted anyway, need to wait for payday before I get anything lol
I purchased CBD oil and was using it in the evening, about 2 or 3 hours before bed time. I am on Paxil, but used this is another relaxation/calming method before bed. I found that it really just puts me in a calm and relaxed mood. I'm me, just a little loosened up. I have a lot of people who take CBD oil in my friend group and haven't heard of anything negative. You just have to play with the dosage until you find the best dose for you. The only thing that happens if you take too much, is that you get really sleepy.
I would recommend reviews and I'm not sure if there are CBD shops where you are, but talking to the employees at the shop and asking questions is best.
Good luck to you!
Yeah there aren't any CBD shops nearby however I've been basing my potential purchase on reviews I just hope I don't waste my money. I'll keep the dosage factor in mind, thank you
CBD Oil is sold in Chemists, Holland & Barrett and Health food shops in the UK. Also think a lot of vape places sell it but unsure as I don't vape.
Hi i use CBD for my migraines but id say it cud help you as it can relax the brain functions a little. But if you go to Cannbidiol.com there is more information.
