I was prescribed a sleeping aid to calm my mind at night so that I can actually get some sleep. It seems to be helping but I find that I’m waking up at the same time every night then I have trouble falling back asleep as I have to be up for work in about an hour. Does anyone else have experience with this kind of thing?

Well for most of us who live with anxiety we rely on a full nights sleep in order to "reset" our bodies. Reason we have such a hard time falling back a sleep i believe is because we get anxious at the fact that we've woken up in the middle of the night and would rather be sleeping instead of awake. Just my theory and personal experience.
Anxiety sufferers naturally have restless minds. So every waking moment just mean having to deal with anxiety. Sleep is our escape and disconnect in a way.
