im not sure what this young woman can do in terms of helping,I feel she is not going to help with my feelings ect since I find it difficult to express myself clearly when in the throes of anxiety and unfamiliar surroundings, and change in weather certainly affects me being older, any thoughts on the matter.

Regarding the fact that she’s young and fresh might be a good thing as the older psychiatrist are thinking the old school ways. The training is much more comprehensive today then even 10 years ago do to modern technology and medication.

thankfully,my current gp is going to give me some diazepam------I explained how I somehow mislaid the amount I got from my previous practise and I explained over the phone that it was health anxiety I had trouble with and since I saw him last week he will give me some 2mgdiazapam------as for the trainee your right in one sense that she will have a fresh approach ,and modern techniques once qualified,.US,seems to have plenty of psychiatrists ,have you got a good one.?

That’s good news. I’ve got a very good psychiatrist and have been seeing him in and off for 30 years but steady for the last 10 years or so. That being said in a 50 mile radius I would guess there’s a 100 of them to choose from.

Hi again, yes it was nerve wracking to just speak over the phone, but he realised (I hope)that I was indeed genuinely concerned about my state of mind and health in general ---blood test taken proved fine …..so that was that. Yes,it seems that UK could do with far more psychiatrists......must ask the trainee--I appreciate your response hope you have a good day!
