Serenity2014, please stay away from google, it will only promote more fear.

What it sounds like to me is what I have on occasion. Because of our high anxiety, we tend to swallow more air when eating. The air becomes an air bubble causing the food to move more slowly down the esophagus giving you that feeling like something is stuck in your chest. The burping is your body's way of relieving you of that excess air.

Try making dinner time a more relaxed and calming time to enjoy your food. Sit upright and not slouched on a couch but a firm chair. Chewing slowly and having some water to sip on near by may help. Sometimes sipping on a ginger ale over ice can help you expel the air trapped in your esophagus.

Because we are not doctors and can only go by our own experiences, always check with your doctor if this continues to be a problem. There are medications out there for acid reflux and swallowing issues. Hope this helps some. xx

I take ranitidine for my acid reflux which works great, you can also try Zantac its the same. Only thing is that it doesn't help with gas. I have gas almost every single day.

Hi, Ah yeah, your symptoms are very much like mines. I have acid reflux for 9 years now with colorful variety of symptoms, also like yours. Its changing but the stanadard ones are burping all the times especially at hard times, throat sensations like constant feeling dry, stucking food feeling, caughing, feeling pressure on the top of the stomach, and other unpleasant feelings. Go to see a doctor to makes sure that there is no anything causing this throat sensation but if no evidence on anything exact you can suspect it to be acid reflux. My sysmptoms are better since I don’t eat diary, gluten, and decreased eating cybohidrates. I don’t take the killing pills anymore what is a great thing compared to just 1 year ago. Go ahead and if reflux is verified you can contact me if you need advice other than take pills for the rest of your life. :)
