Something needs to change 😔

I was in a job for 10 years of my life, happily. The occasional worry but nothing major. But now I can’t seem to stay in a not for over a year. My stress and anxiety gets the better of me. I had a breakdown about 5 years ago now and I haven’t been the same since. You might have seen that I started a new job recently and it turns out that I’m working for not very nice people. And I just want to leave. I don’t care about money I care about my mental health. And I feel like I need some time off. However this comes with implications of me no longer having a car (I work in car sales) and also my partner no longer having a car (his car is through me) and I just don’t know what to do

Forgive me if this sound basic.

Get a good therapist and talk about what makes this place bad for you.

Let someone help you work though the process with you.

It could be a very easy fix.

I’m scared of therapy. Of having to sit infront of somebody and talk about my issues and cry and generally be myself. It terrifies me

Thank you. I was close to calling a therapist today (for the first time ever) but I just couldn’t do it. I’m so scared of opening up to anyone I don’t know why?!

Sara, we are a strong group of people in this forum who can "hand hold" you through this process.

This in MY EXPERIENCE ONLY!

Hopefully others will write in too!!

therapists:

1. They have been trained to be NON JUDGMENTAL, and NON CRITICAL and GOOD LISTENERS

2. You will be accepted for exactly who you are

3. They want you to be well

4. Most have been where you are and "get it" so I found compassion and acceptance

All you have to do is "the next thing".

All you have to do is pick up the phone and call to make an appointment.

Some therapists are better than others, and you will know within 3 sessions if that therapist is for you.

Be Well!
