Dehydrated

Hi everyone,

I'm feeling symptoms of dehydration and suffer from anxiety. About a month ago i did the sugar test in a clinic and urine test and they came fine. I also did a full blood test around march and it came fine. Can anxiety cause this?

I don't want to go to the doctor again since everything is put down to anxiety and stress.

Thanks

karl, as I sit here on the forum, I am so dehydrated it's not funny. My mouth, tongue, throat and lips. I have bottles of water that I'm constantly sipping from but it doesn't

seem to touch the dryness. I just recently turned the heat on making it even dryer than

the air conditioner during the summer months. Even running a fan dries the air out in a room. It's that time of year to get out the humidifier which will replace the humidity that's lost in a room by heating and cooling devices. You're not alone in havng this problem. :)

Have you been tested for diabetes? That sounds like a classic diabetic when you say you can drink water and it doesn’t quench your thirst. I’m a diabetic and that’s how it started with me.

My problem Ironj is that I'm never thirsty and tend not to drink much water at all.

But I will have my doctor check it out next time I go. Is it done with a blood test or

urine?

Yes it’s done when a complete CBC is done. They will check you A1C anything in the high 5’s is pediatric above 6 is is diabetic. If you keep drinking water and can’t get enough and pee a lot is a huge indicator of pre diabetic or diabetes. Best wishes John

Well are you dehydrated? If no then yes anxiety can cause similar symptoms. Light headed , dizzy , feeling like your spaced out , headaches.

Yes feeling those symptoms as well. I think im dehydrated since i feel like i need to drink all day. I already did a test in a clinic a month ago and it came normal

I’m also suffering from those symptoms. I drink 2-3 bottles of water per day, sometimes more. I have constant headaches that can last for days and times. I feel detached and in/out of reality. I’m going to get a blood test. What are some other causes for these symptoms?

Anxiety and a combination of dehydration is most likely the cause. 2 or 3 bottles of water is not enough water per day unless the 2-3 bottles add up to 64 OZ per day and if your physically active you need more. Headache are very common with anxiety and dehydration. It could be tension headaches , if it’s tension headaches they’re pounding headaches in the back of your head. Other headaches can be from allergies to high blood pressure and sinus pressure that causes headaches in the front of your head.

Im curious about the sugar test? Was that test anxiety related?

You can make your own Oral Rehydration Solution with clean drinking water, a spoon of salt and honey. You can get the recipe on the internet. Or, just buy Gatorate.

I used to pee a lot when anxious
