Just been thinking about this anxiety thing.... I was watching a programme this morning and they were talking about people that were “ just a bit anxious “.
To me anxiety is mental and physical and I just wondered how many people suffer with the whole shebang?

Hey Matt. Gosh I think there’s so so many of us that suffer with anxiety and many people do not even know it. There is some proven evidence too. I’ll have to find the link. I have the whole shebang but not as bad as I was. I’m hoping I’m in recovery. Soon as one physical thing passes I have another sometimes. Intrusive thoughts are sometimes still around. 🙄 draining.
I’m constantly reading Dr Claire Weekes she’s helping me so much along with a few members on here also.
Of those 40 million people, almost 7 million of them suffer from GAD, with 15 million suffering from social anxiety disorder, 14.8 million suffering from major depressive disorder, and 7.7 million affected by post-traumatic stress disorder. Fact #3: There are many types of anxiety disorders.
I was talking about the same thing today with my parents ! Anxiety is the most common mental health condition interfering in people’s daily life’s (according to my gp! ) I reckon statistics are high !
It’s very high K1srty I agree! Life is so hard at times. No matter how much money or love or anything else you may have, The perfect life. There still is some sort of anxiety everyone is going through.
Society I think is a huge part. And the other is as I said is Life. You can beat it thou! You can get better. It is all about change in your attitude towards it.
I hate it when it's considered a mental health issue. Anxiety is a normal sensation, it's only when it is blown up massively and it effect's your daily life that anxiety becomes a problem or should I say the body's adrenaline response. The trouble with anxiety is that it happens to be the worst sensation in the world
Me! Anxiety, depression, palpitations the whole lot. I,m 71 got worse as I,ve got older, I managed to work and bring up 3 successful children. I had 2 major depressive illnesses resulting in loss of weight, insomnia and the black hole.
Hi Matt, yes I agree both mentally and physically. I think that when physical it feeds the mental and the circle continues. Often I was told it’s just anxiety but other than testing for said illnesses how do they actually know for sure.
My heads often in a spin. I’ve read, I’ve joined groups and it is nice to know that others sometimes feel the same.
To much negative thinking..how you think is why you have anxiety. Trust your Dr. If they say it's only anxiety then be comfortable and accept it. Be happy about it that's a positive diagnosis. Don't let anxious thoughts take away your happiness.
I find my anxiety makes me feel nauseous and affects my digestive system as well, which feeds into the mental and then back into the physical, so it can be a bit of a vicious system.
