It’s my first time writing here. I just wanna do something cuz i feel so anxious right now . I can’t breathe normally and i feel like being chocked. And my face turned red and my heart is racing.

I don’t know what to do to reduce these symptoms or at least ignore it.

Thank you for giving me space here to write.

vdania, you certainly came to the right place to get the understanding and support you need to address your symptoms. We've all gone through the same symptoms at different times of our journey with anxiety. We share our stories and feel strength in not feeling so all alone as well as learning from each other.

It's a matter of retraining your mind and getting back control of your emotions. Accepting these symptoms as nothing more than coming from your subconscious mind in trying to protect you. Unfortunately, most of the thoughts go over the edge and lead us to having physical symptoms that are not coming from a health issue.

My "go to" site is YouTube where I do daily Meditation, Mindfulness and Deep Breathing at least 3 times a day. Morning upon awakening, afternoon and evening before bed. This allows the positive thoughts to carry you through the day and night.

When we are anxious we tend to breathe either too fast (hyperventilating) or hold our breath from time to time. Learning to deep breathe before we need to causes the mind and body to stay in a calmer state. We feel like we are being choked because the muscles in the throat are so tight and tense. Emotionally cause, not a physical problem. The heart racing is all about the abundance of adrenaline coursing through your body due to your fear. You end up developing a cycle of fear begets fear.

Since we are not doctors, it is always advised to see your doctor to rule out any health issues before assuming it's anxiety but once stress/anxiety is diagnosed, the forum is a great place to get you moving forward with safety and comfort. Looking forward to hearing your story and how we can help. xx

Hopefully you’ve take some deep breaths and tried to keep calm since then. Yes! This is a safe space. I also love nature sounds , too. It really helps. I type in “relaxing music” on my SoundCloud app , & all of these wonderful mixes and songs and guided meditations play. It’s so soothing

This is a safe place to chat and most people on here can relate. Deep breaths! In thru the nose out slowly thru the mouth.

Isn’t it a bit unfortunate that we allow ourselves to let things make us feel overwhelmed or panic. We put so much emphasis on how we feel, that we forget to look beyond ourselves. It is sometimes necessary to go back to a simpler time. To rest then create and cultivate a new beautiful life and mind, to smile from the inside. And out....Forget what people think or say, forgot what others tell us we must do. Forget the anger because we end up giving value to something we have no control over. Revisit the simplest things. Start over Let go of everything.
