not again

As of recently every little movement I make causes my heart to race meaning my anxiety is through the roof. Yesterday I went to a concert and the base mixed with my racing heart gave me palpitations etc the whole nine. I think Im finally at the point of realizing that Im not dying whenever this happens but its still scary I couldn't even focus on the concert the whole time my focus was on my heart rate smh my doctor just prescribed Lexapro but im terrified of the side effects.

Hi deeaire, Oh I've been there where the bass of the concert music played into my heart beat and drove me crazy,. Even the fireworks on 4th of July bothered my heart. Knowing where it comes from can help to a degree but you still may need to move yourself away from the triggers. (Or get good ear plugs)

I've been on Lexapro for 4 years at least and it has helped tremendously with anxiety. Give it time should you decide to take it at least 4-6 weeks to reach full efficacy levels. I hope it works for you as it does for me and many others on the forum using this med. xx
