Hey. I've had some of those same symptoms & it's my anxiety. I've even had my lips feel numb for hours. I think many of us with anxiety has some of the same symtoms & I know personally I keep getting new ones. I'll have some test & it's always good. Anxiety does some very strange things. I recently downloaded an app called mind space that so far is helping me look at it much differently than I ever have. Recently joined on here as well & people have been very informative. I'm about to start reading a Claire weekes book that I've seen a few people speak highly of on here. It does sound like an anxiety to me though. Hope you'll be able to find some peace & relaxation very soon. 😊

Hi. I had the same symptoms as you. As I also have ulcerative colitis, i keep thinking it’s that but it’s not. I have been checked. The fuzzy head, the brain fog, weak legs and feeling faint are all parts and parcel of anxiety I am afraid. Took me years to acknowledge it. I used to also have terrible panic attacks but no longer as I take sertraline now. So the episodes are few and far between. I still have them occasionally when stressed with life in general. Go to your gp.

Get your doctor to check the muscle around your neck area, you might have a strain, if that's what it is it is nothing to worry about because it can be fixed. But get it checked by your doctor. The light head, numbness and pains in your arm can be symptoms of neck strain.

physically it sounds like stress and/or anxiety. My symptoms were a bit different. I feel as if there's a hole in my chest. I always feel the need to take deep breaths and I can't shake off negative thoughts. After lab work, my doc said I was severely low in vitamin D, and my testosterone is below normal. Have you considered that? I'm on day 12 of Prozac and feel my symptoms worsen. I'm hoping it gets better.

I agree with jimmy. Get checked for muscle strain in the neck. I had symptoms of dizziness, neck pain, numbness for 6 months before I got diagnosed with muscle strain of the neck. These symptoms can increase anxiety. Best of luck!

I can tell you now, from my own personal experiences..... every symptom you have .... I have had not that long ago, approx a year. I was and sometime still think (when I’m really anxious) that I have an undiagnosed heart/lung condition and googled all the symptoms etc which tell you the WORST case scenario.!

It 100% feels like ur going to die but I assure you.... you won’t sweetheart! I have to tell myself this every time I feel if come on! As I’m writing, I feel the breathlessness of anxiety starting to creep up on me. Every time you feel this way, you have to Tell Your “child” self (imagine yourself as a child) that your ok and she doesn’t need to panic, that your the adult and you will take care of him/her. Thank him/her for protecting you using old techniques she used to keep u safe as a child but now your an adult, you can use your logic/reasoning etc that we develop and use as adults to work out it will all be ok. Picture yourself holding him/her and reassuring him/her, giving them the comfort that maybe he/she may not have gotten as a child when they was fearful or afraid.

Whenever u feel this way- keep repeating and reassuring yourself by talking to yourself as a child. Breathing really helps also. In through your nose, allowing your tummy to expand where your lungs are filling with air, hold it for couple seconds (not too long where it feels unsettling) then slowly, blow out through your mouth. Keep repeating until you feel more relaxed.

When your mind starts going into panic mode, ur thoughts start going to “what if”(what if they missed this or that etc) ignore the thought and focus on something else and if it comes bk, keep refocusing until it goes.

Also try grounding yourself -sit in chair, make sure feet touch and are on the floor,

Notice how your body is feeling describe it aloud and imagine yourself being gently pulled downwards, if your upstairs, to the floor below and look around the room u are in, noticing all the detail you remember is there, describing it aloud!

These techniques are used to distract the mind and re route neural pathways, training the brain to eventually do this in its own whenever you get an unwanted thought thus stopping the symptoms from occurring.

It takes time, patience and dedication to

Re train the brain to do this but if you want it to stop, the sooner you start the better!

You are having the symptoms but the untrue belief is triggering the anxiety causing the very real and very scary symptoms. If we re train the brain and adjust/ get rid of the belief, the chain will stop. This works with all unwanted false beliefs we have about ourselves.

It’s take. Me two years to get to where I am now and I’m still not 💯 there yet but I feel so much better already xx

Best wishes lovely.

Never give up xxxx
