Your body goes into the flight or fight response and it can take a tole on your body because it’s such a build up. It takes me a bit to come down from a panic attack...your body does so much in the flight or fight response...you start to breath more, heart races / it’s exhausting! Try deep long breaths, belly breathing, making sure your filling up your belly not your chest. I’ve benefited from guided anxiety meditation, being aware of your breathing to help come down.
