Hi everyone, I suffer with anxietyand panic disorder, depersonalization as well as derealization and have been on Citalopram for 10 days now. Some days are a little better than others but now I'm scared,I have these feelings now that time doesn't exist anymore, its not really happening. The days don't matter or exist, when you wake in the morning its like you know you have to be awake because your looking around but at the same time its like you never woke up. It feels like life and everything ended and I didn't realize it happen. What's wrong with me? Am I losing it?

hello Hateanxiety,

SSRIs such as citalopram can take up to 2 weeks to begin to work, and during that time you may get some new and unusual symptoms, possibly even making it worse. This was also my experience on fluoxetine for anxiety. However, I recommend talking to your doctor (specialist in psychiatry) about it if it is really bothering you or significantly affecting your quality of life.
