Hi all. Can someone tell me what this drug is used for and if I can use it with fluoxetine?
Gabapentin : Hi all. Can someone tell me... - Anxiety Support
Gabapentin
To my knowledge it’s primary use is for nerve pain. I don’t think there is an issue taking them together, but I would call a pharmacist and ask to be safe.
It is for depression. I used to take it but now I take Pristiq ER and I like it. I still go problems I have to fix but who doesn't . Blessings dear one.
Gabapentin is good for inflammation. It is also good to improve your mood. I think it works on the chemical in the brain called GABA> Look it up for yourself and see.
Ok so I was on gabapentin for awhile! It’s basically a nerve blocker and it’s also used for anxiety when all else fails. I was taking it due to nerve related issues and it kind of just works as as a bandaid and doesn’t really fix the issue! What did they discribe this to you for?
As everyone else says, it's mainly for nerve pain. That being said, it sounds like you haven't personally been prescribed the medication. If that's the case, please remember that it's NEVER safe to take a medication that hasn't been prescribed specifically for you.
It's prescribed for epilepsy, nerve pain, restless leg syndrome, anxiety. It's OK to take with fluoxetine, but may increase dizziness as a side effect.
