Does anyone get zaps?

For the past few days I feel like my body is getting little shocks or zaps mostly in face hands and feet

Are you taking an ssri? The one time this happened to me I was trying to stop taking Effexor. It was horrible!

I take ativan I don't know if that would do it I was prescribed exxefor but I haven't taken it yet did it help u out as t all?

I really didn't like Effexor. It did help me but I was severely tripped out! Serious anxiety and panic! Lost a ton of weight, couldn't eat, I was in bad shape so in a way it did the job... it got me out of that place but when I went to quit, it was hell. Those zaps you are referring to, they were intense and lasted months after stopping. I had weird sensations like I was watching myself- depersonalizations I think it's called. I think Effexor is a SSNRI where Zoloft and Prozac are SSRI. There is a difference and not everyone needs the SSNRI. I don't think I did. (Do some research) Anyway, Zoloft was much easier to start and stop for me. Now a days I'm trying to take CBD as a treatment and I swear it's working!!! Good luck to you.

Thanks! Yea I did read about side effects of that medication and that's why I haven't started it yet. Thanks for the info and I'm glad you are doing better!

I have been getting the zaps and they are freaking me out bc I can’t tell if it is anxiety or something serious. Did your zaps ever stop?

I still get them from time to time...more frequently when I'm stressed out. I've seen my dr and a neurologist and have had different scans and testing...all came back normal. My dr said mine was from anxiety.
