Help. I have a head c.t scan today at 4.20pm but I drank a bottle of wine and another 2 glasses last night between 9pm-3.30am. Can I still get the head c.t or is it dangerous? I am freaking out!

Hi
Your letter for the scan would usually include what you do in preparation. I have not had a cat scan so can’t really tell you from experience. I found this link, which only mentions about not eating food there is no mention of alcohol. I’m sorry you feel so anxious, I know what that feels like it’s awful. When you go for the scan mention to them you have drank alcohol and the time. I bet your not the first to check if that’s ok.
Hope it all goes ok. Check out your appointment letter for any details.
Will attach this nhs link too it doesn’t mention alcohol, only food.
All good wishes to you. X
