Hi Phogan, I've taken seroquel for years, at 275mg (nighttime) .
The side effects that you mentioned seem pretty common to all anitdepressant anitpsychotic medication?
I know they're scary (!) and it makes the decision to take/not take medication a difficult decision. The question I would ask is how much has the doctor prescribed you, and how does taking this dosage make you feel?
I've stopped alot of my medications including seroquel about a year ago, because the side effects combined were too high and the benefits (if any) were too low.
In terms of medication, Seroquel was hard to come off, but in terms of side effects while taking it was pretty minor for me.
Is RLS restless leg syndrome? If so , one thing that helped me with it was regular exercise (even walking), not exercising close to bed time, stretching before and after (so lactic acid doesnt build up and get restless in your body) and most importantly taking a good magnesium supplement - magnesium is excellent for treating twitchy muscles. Get some with magnesium chelate, taurate, sterate(?) in it, and avoid the ones with magnesium oxide they don't last in your body.
good luck for your decision, hope all goes well for you, let me know if I can help, cheers calmbreathe
