Hi! I was on Paxil (10 mg) for anxiety prescribed by my family dr but I went to a psychiatrist today and he changed me to Prozac (20 mg). I was just wondering if anybody has ever taken this for anxiety before? I’m nervous to start the new med.

Hi I take paxil 10 mg too. Why did Dr change to Prozac? I thought that was for depression moreso than anxiety? I have a friend who is on it for depression and she's ok with it
I guess it can be used for both.
