Starvation?

carrieblevins1998 profile image

So due to depression, I haven't been able to eat very much. I only eat maybe 2 small meals a day. Is this considered starvation? I don't want my body to start using my muscles for energy. I'm terrified 😭

You have enough on your mind already! Can you get some protein shakes at the store? I don't mean junk food stuff - I'm talking about the healthy kind. You may have to go to a health food store if your regular store doesn't carry it.

Also, to answer your question, it would depend on how small those two daily meals are. Do you feel full after finishing them? If yes, then starvation isn't likely. I hope you're making a point of eating a balanced diet.

I lost a lot of weight during my last bout of MDD. I quickly gained it all back when I felt better, and you will too. Be strong, and hang in there!
