OK so my doctor gave me lexapro and currently I'm taking 2.5 my. I took it this morning and my head feels foggy and like I'm dizzy or about to pass out. Is this normal after just starting back?

The clinical psychiatrist I saw said you are supposed to take it at night to minimize side effects. Who told you to take it in the morning? Your doctor? It is my experience that doctors don't know much about these drugs. You need to w the info from a mental health expert who has more training in them. Everyone I know that takes it takes it at night. And it has a very short half-life, so at an extremely low dose of only 2.5 mg, you may be going through withdrawal symptoms because it is not staying in your system long enough. I would talk to a pharmacist or mental health expert just to be sure.
Well I used to take 2.5 my and it helped a lot and when I withdrawals off is when I started having bad anxiety again, now recently when I started back on the 2.5 mg my anxiety has calmed and I'm no longer anxious all the time. I have always taken it every morning usually with no side effects, this is just recent the brain fog started happening.
Is there any chance that you worked yourself up to having the symptoms of anxiety, rather than the side effect of the drug
?
