I've just had an emergency appointment with my psychiatrist who has prescribed this. Although it is an older drug and less prescribed, he feels it is 'smoother' and has a longer half life than valium. (He is a very good psych. and I value his judgement).
It's to help my rolling panic attacks after I suddenly had a grand mal seizure out of the blue a few weeks ago.
Anyone tried this? I'd like to hear your experiences. Thank you!
(Btw, I will be on regular dosing schedule for 10 days, and then 'as needed' to see if we can try to break the cycle of my panic attacks ahead of seeing my Neurologist for further testing).

I believe librium is an early relation to diazepam/valium and if it's even half as good as valium it's magic. Taking it regularly for 10 days and then as necessary seems a good plan and I think you will benefit a lot from it.
Thank you so much, Jeff! Yes - my psychiatrist told me it's the 'Grandmother' of benzodiazepines. It has a longer half life, and my psychiatrist says you don't notice so much of an uptake or come down, hence it's 'smoother' action. I'll report back and let you know how I find it.☺
