Afraid of Pain

I've had anxiety for 4 years. From all the crying and tension I have pain in my ribs and back. Always feel like crying. I'm afraid the pain will be chronic and not go away. I'm afraid of the anxiety.

Trees, what do you do during the day. Do you take care of you children, walk, talk on phone, etc? It would be good if you could tell a little more about your life.

Right now it's terrible. My husband won't let me drive so I'm always in the house. I have terrible pain in ribs and back and always want to cry. I'm scared that I will always have this pain. It's worse when I'm moving around. I have very sensitive feeling in my stomach and makes me want to cry.

Yes, But what do you actually DO during the day. How do you spend your days?

Not doing much. Dishes, wash, vacuum. I don't have a life

If you suffer from fibromalysia doing little movements such as vacuuming raking even sweeping can become very painful. Rest ice and soothing creams can help. I have this and when I decide to engage in one of those activities I know I'll be suffering at least 2 days afterward. Good luck in your search for answers.

Have you ever been to a back specialist and had X-rays or MRI’s done on your back and ribs to rule out an actual structural problem?

Also...why doesn’t your husband “let” you drive?

because I'm on pills and he's afraid that if I get accident and kill someone he'll lose the house. Things going on at home are making it worse

Hey Trees....I have costochondritis. It's when the joints in your ribs become inflamed. It's not well known and hard to diagnose. If you push on one of your ribs and it hurts, you may have it. Not life threatening, just painful sometimes.

Trees, there is nothing more I can offer you. Talk to your doctors and therapists about the questions and fears you ask about every time you post or reply. Time to turn to them and talk to them. 8-10 months on this community, and you always ask or complain about the same things. We can't solve your issues, but your professions may be able to.
