My anxiety trigger/ fear is having a heart attack. I’m 36 over all healthy besides i need to lose 70 pounds. In the past month I’ve been struggling I’ll exercise one day and next the fear will hit me and I’ll stop for a week. Well last week i decided no matter what I’m going to the gym 4 times a week. Today my mom told me that a friend of mine father just got out of the hospital due to a heart attack. Thoughts and anxiety starting creeping in. I went to the gym tonight and got on the treadmill starting walking then went into a jog. Thoughts of me falling down of a heart attack right there starting running through my mind. Thoughts of Bob Harper a very fit guy had a heart attack so could i. But i kept jogging for 15 mins.... i went to do some weights checked my pulse is was high that started to scare me. Jumped on a elliptical machine for 10 more minutes.

It felt great to not give into the fear... thoughts are still running through my mind now but my hope is that the more positive experiences i have at the gym the less i will fear it

Good for you Aliciar. Job well done. Once we take that step out of our comfort zone, it will get easier each time. Working towards a more healthier you is most important. :) xx

Thanks everyone...it’s a daily struggle but it’s got to get better sometime. Yesterday was great and today i have my first panic attack in over a month 😞 this sucks. I feel so tired and crappy now and of course I’m worried it’s my heart. Debating on if i should go to the gym tonight
