I just have a question is there really a scientific link between anxiety and thyroid? Or is this a myth?
Are the majority of you on thyroid meds? Anyone noticed being on meds reduced your anxiety?
My blood test came back all fine just TSH is 2 points over the range it’s 4.02mg and the chart says 0.25-4.00. I am anti medicine if at all possible. Not tired not over weight no dry skin? So I’m thinking can their be a link with my Anxiety and those results? I know it’s a life medicine so if I can avoid them I will, interested in other views xx

Hi I have to have a repeat test on my TSH although it was normal the eye specialist said it was on the lower side of normal ? I have had problems with my eyes and yes thyroid can affect your eyes and affect you weight depending on if it hyper or hypo one you gain weight the other you stay slim no matter what you eat.and yes it can cause palpitations and other health problems if not treated my mother my brother my niece all had thyroid medication.so its strong link in my family.hope this answers your question.
I think because I have health anxiety going to the gym is a huge diversion and it makes me think “your super strong theirs nothing wrong with you!” Yesterday I literally ran for 15min on level 7.7 and I didn’t even break out in a sweat! stamina wise I’m very good in that sense. It’s the weights I can hardly lift 10-15kg I dislocated my shoulder 7 years back and I petrified of damaging it again. That’s why I stick to cardio only. I feel crossfinder I’m working my whole body as well. Definitely makes me happy and I’m excited to get there 😊
Layla, you are only a tiny amount above the upper limit for normal and in the U.K doctors don't consider putting you on meds unless the figure reaches 8.
