I made it through a day with times of intense anxiety, around others who intimidated me and in uncomfortable settings. I did all the work and found out all the answers I needed. It just feels really good. I feel I can take on a lot now. Maybe it will not last. I am grateful either way.

Great news Starrlight Don't let anyone intimidate you you have more courage than any of them
You will go from strength to strength now and I'm wishing all the very best
Well done my dear, so happy for you....
Great for you Starrlight and well done. Keep practicing with the attitude that it doesn't matter, it's only anxiety and you don't fear it anymore. You will find that it will evaporate relatively soon over time and that you are way stronger than you think. What also worked for me was practicing bringing the anxiety on and trying to make it even stronger, especially if I was anticipating having anxiety. I know it sounds counter-intuitive but it works. And try not to fear the relapses, they are a normal part of the healing process.
Perfect! bringing it on and even trying to make it stronger , I can see how that could work. Bring it! Haha unless it makes it worse. But hey. We’ll see.
Yes it doesn’t matter attitude is mine. Anxiety is not a thing.
I’ll remember the healing process and that I may relapse.
Good encouragement.Thanks Designguy!
You're welcome Starrlight, and yes, it may make it worse temporarily but that will pass. Again, it's part of the healing process. The reality is that anxiety is a paradox, it's our resistance to it that makes it stronger. When you surrender to it totally and no longer fear it, it loses it's power and vaporizes. Have have to make the commitment to yourself that you can and will do it. Remember, anxiety is a learned behavior that becomes habitualized over time. Now that you are conscious of it, you can relearn what it really is and how to make it work for you not against you.
Bravo!
Hi Starr, checking to see how your doing? I'm on n off today. Pretty lonely, did some crying made me feel kind of good.
I have few friends their busy with their families or they have NO money. I can't afford to pay for them. I have a longtime boyfriend we don't live together and he works full time, I'm retired. So hope your doing well? Take care
Well done.
Listen to this poem Desiderata, it's powerful
Peace!
I haven't been able to do that the thoughts and anxiety take over. I've been doing this for 5 years
I’ve had anxiety as far back as I can recall and sometimes there is just no way because of the intensity of the anxiety and racing intrusive thoughts but sometimes if you can just step out of it all and even if you feel the anxiety but still push through, and do what you need to do, that is big. So sorry you are suffering and for a long period. It can get better. Recall the easier days. Take one by one little step.
