By not fighting therrry.... sounds too simple doesn't it? Anxiety doesn't have to be a "life sentence" with or without medication. There is a time and place for short term medication to be used as well as therapy in getting back on the road to living life and not just existing. Using other modalities in your wellness plan can include many methods/tools such as CBT, Meditation, DeepBreathing, Hypnotherapy, Affirmations, Visualization and on and on Finding what works for you and practicing it daily will set you in motion in going forward.

Accepting Anxiety is #1 in believing this can be overcome. This is not life threatening. This is coming from negative thoughts in your mind. This too shall pass. Stay positive, throw fear aside, be patient and use the forum for support and understanding. We have all been in your position. We are at different stages of anxiety and help each other by sharing our life's journey with an invisible disorder. Stay strong therry, you are not alone. :) x

I think the answer is not to fight it at all. Take medication if you have been prescribed it and just let things be. The more you fight anxiety or medication the more it is at the front of your mind and kick starts everything

Don’t fight it, the more you fight it the more aggressive it becomes. One step at a time. I cannot promise you that it will never come back but at least you know how to handle it and the storm will always pass.

thnak you for ur lovely reply

anxiety is a normal and necessary part of our survival , only it is problem when it exceeds a limit , the solution is not to fight it , as it makes it worse , it is the art of tolerance and acceptance that makes a great change in ones threshold level thus reducing the suffering . Mindfulness helps to accomplish this aspect

I've been anxiety free for 3 yrs. On meds been really stable. Then bang here we go again on this roller bloody coaster of hell again. I'll beat it I have done so many times before. Just not looking forward to the ups and downs again. Haven't had a panic attack yet. They are the beasts from hell. X

I struggled with anxiety for YEARS! I tried everything!!!! All it took for me was to minimize as much negative shit out my life as possible. My mind was always in a doom state of mind. I was always thinking about death and worrying. Sounds crazy but I fought it with my mind. IF something is making you unhappy in your life YOU HAVE TO FIX IT. I also keep aprazolam on deck just in case...that helps me minimize my anxiety because in my mind I know I have it when needed and I havent taken any in MONTHS!
