Slow heart rate?
Hey so I literally am in the exact same position. My heart rate is 59 too and my doctor said that it is completely normal. She said it’s a sign of a strong heart. No worries girl!
I'm 44 and yes it is very good. My resting heart rate goes down to 48 and my doctor was like for being overweight your heart rate couldn't be better. As long as when you are active it goes up approx 30 beats or more for intense and then recovers in a timely manner you are fit as a fiddle with your heart. And as I type this I am putting my groceries away and having a panic attack and pain in my left elbow and know my heart is fine and still freaking out!! Stupid anxiety! Take care you guys and it's not the panic attacks it's how we handle them.....
It will, it takes time and commitment. It takes failures until a big ah ha moment comes and then there is relief. I hope you relief comes with few failures!
Mine drops into the 40's at night and normal resting is 50's. Freaks me out as well especially with the odd flutter or skipped beat.
Under 60 is called bradycardia it’s harml but all the same worth going to gp I’m currently having loads of tests done at hospital to determined why mine is sitting from 37-53bpm & I’m not an althete just a over weight lazy bum lol
It could simply mean you have a very healthy heart ❣
But bradycardia causes tiredness, dizziness, brain fog
Hope you feel better soon
I said to consultant it feels like my heart beating so slow that I have to punch myself in heart like preform mini cpr on myself xx
The 'normal' range is anything between 55 and 100, depending on which medical literature you choose to read.
Unless you're getting lightheaded or 'brain fog' it's rarely an issue. If it's any consolation to you mine often drops below 40 (I've measured it at 34 a few times) and that's when I'm sat around, so potentially mine will drop into the 20's whilst I'm asleep.
An ecg and various blood tests later and the Dr says I've got the heart of someone "exceptionally athletic". Interesting, really, considering I'm about 4 stone overweight...
I do get lightheaded and brain fog, but I thought it was from anxiety. Ya never know I guess.
I have had alot of ekgs done and they never showed anything. 🤷♀️
So do I - they said it was nothing to do with my heart and I do suffer from anxiety.
A quick way to check it would be to see what your heart rate is when you're lightheaded. If it's normal then it's a fair bet it's not your heart that's the problem.
As an aside anxiety is a scumbag and should catch fire and die as far as I'm concerned.
You're good. Mine is usually 50-56 and I get upset if at resting it goes much higher. In everything I've heard and read, having a lower pulse seems to mean that you will live longer. I also try to keep my blood pressure around 60-65 for them same reasons too, You'll be fine!
