Chest infection

Had a bad chest infection over Christmas finished antibiotics a few days ago and cough has gone but I feel so weak and tired and keep having really bad right lower flank pain especially when bending! Now think my kidney is infected or worse!! Anyone been through this?

Antibiotics as helpful as they are for your infection in doing so can cause other infections. They can also cause diarrhea and other problems. Bending sounds muscular. We’re you coughing a lot? With right lower pain the appendix is often a concern as well. I suggest you go see your doctor. You can also try heat and see if that helps in case it’s muscular. Ice is often used on a stretched or pulled muscle as it causes it to shrivel up with the cold. You can do either. I just personally prefer heat. I’m cold enough. We got a bit of snow last night.i wish you well!

I finished antibiotics on the 27th not coughing anymore and the pain had eased in my back as I’m starting to move more and be back at work. But it still aches when I bend over and really hurts if I stretch while laying in bed. Still very afraid that something is wrong.
