I am hesitant to post because I have been betrayed and belittled in previous "support" groups. But here I go.....

I am 27 years old. I was officially diagnosed in March 2015 with Lupus, Sjogrens, pleurisy and Fibro, chronic pain and fatigue. I have dealt with "something medical" since I was 9 but no doctor could diagnosed it. And they are still exploring for more...

Oh yes and I also have chronic chest pains that aren't cardiac related. Also have severe tachycardia not related to anxiety.

I also suffer from depression, anxiety including panic attacks, and I have a history of cutting. I have little to no self esteem and tend to be very negative.

I have no support system. No one understands or believes me. I have a lacking of trust in people and am losing the trust I have in my doctors.

If I don't comment on posts or seem like I'm not being supportive, it's not because I'm self centered (far from it), it's just that I don't know what to say or I am not in the right mind set to offer support or I feel I don't have the life experience to offer support.

I live my life for my dogs. If not for them I don't know what I would do.

Don't worry about what other people think that's the whole problem with everybody everyone wants to impress someone just do what you think you should do when and if that day comes then you can have a little compassion for everyone b well 4 u

I honestly don’t think you will find mean people here. If so report them as it is not tolerated. The one time I saw someone bullied and belittled several people myself included raced to his defense. You are very welcome here!

I know quite well about the invisible illnesses. I suffer from severe chronic pain from a car accident. I was born club foot though and wore braces on my legs. I keep cancelling my doctors appts. because every time I go they end up finding something wrong with me. When I was in my senior year of high school I took nursing as a college course leading to college because I was empathetic due to all my medical problems. I worked in ICU 14 years before full time permanent disability and on the squad for several years. Cardiac issues were my specialty.

I also suffer from anxiety and depression. My aunt has fibromyalgia. My own husband doesn’t even understand. He treats me mean. He didn’t come home at all tonight which is becoming normal.

I’m so very sorry you are going through all of that. I had a really bad blood clot to my liver for many years that no one found and now half my liver is also shot so I understand. I understand having severe pain and hearing “nothing we can do” You definitely won’t be judged by me! Since coming to this group though I have met so many very kind and caring people. They jump to respond and are so truly compassionate. I’m glad you are here! You came to the right place. I only told you small things most people don’t know. Not for your concern but just to let you know that you are not alone and we are here to help. FYI there is a fibromyalgia support group as well on here. You may want to just check it out but we got you! ❤️

nothing but support and prayers from me. Hope you feel comfortable here, I have been here for about 6 months and read posts daily and I find people very supportive. I have a big family and a dog and sometimes it's the dog who helps me through. Chin up and love those dogs

Hi Dog_mom, I'm glad to see you on this forum. I think you could be quite a benefit to others like yourself who have multiple disorders and physical issues going on at the same time as anxiety. It is confusing to the doctors and scary to the patient. It sounds like, after many years you have gotten some answers to your problems which have probably overwhelmed you. What do you address first, what comes from anxiety and what doesn't. Those issues alone can make it seem like you are forever struggling with something.

I'm sorry to hear that you were betrayed and belittled in other support groups. You will not have that happen here. This will become a "safe" place for you to come to when you need a friend, just need to listen to others or need to vent. It's at your own pace, your own time. This group is about men and women of all ages and all stages of anxiety. Many including myself have medical issues as well. I too have Fibro. Living with pain everyday is something we have to accept as our new way of life. It doesn't need to stop us from living but it does challenge us some.

This community of people is like having a network of supporting friends. Friends who understand all too well the emotional and physical pain of anxiety and it's issues. We have people with unexplained chest pain (as you do), we have those who use self harm to cope. The list goes on and on. Don't think that you are alone with your issues. Even if you just sit back and read the posts and responses that come in, you will learn a lot from them. You will then be able to pick and choose those that you can relate more closely to.

What's nice is that I just heard there are 30,000 members and the new goal is for 35,000 in 2018 from all over the world. So believe me, we are not alone in our suffering. Man, woman, child, young or old, anxiety doesn't discriminate. We can all be subject to anxiety at any time of our life. As you will see I am one of the long winded members, but it is not a requirement. Glad you found us, I hope we can help you. My best. Agora1 xx
