Massage helped anyone?

My husband got me a full body massage for Christmas. Since the holidays are over my anxiety has been a little better. I still have headaches, but they come on as the day goes on. I'm hoping my new glasses will help, I found out I have an astigmatism in both eyes. I also think a lot of the headaches are due to muscle tension, although I still have scary thoughts about other horrible causes. I also ordered a memory foam topper for my bed, hoping that it will help reduce some of my pains and give me better sleep. I'm hoping a better night of sleep will also help my anxiety. Has anyone found relief from headaches through massage?

I prefer a remedial massage over a relaxation massage. Remedial Massage is a great way to soothe tight, sore muscles. It also leaves you feeling calm, relaxed and rejuvenated.

Remedial Massage loosens and softens tired, aching muscles and energises weak muscles. It eases soreness and chronic tension caused by stress, sporting activities or sitting at a desk all day. It's a soothing, healing experience that's suitable for all ages.

A good Remedial Massage therapist should assess each client's individual needs to determine the treatment required. Depending on your needs, the treatment can be gentle or strong, deep or shallow, with problem areas receiving extra attention.

After a massage remember to drink plenty of water to take away the bad chemicals released from the muscle cells into your bloodstream.

There are some self help massage techniques you can learn for tension headaches.

If you have health insurance, some companies actually cover remedial massage so that you have no or little out of pocket expenses.

Massage is not for everyone, but it works for me. :)
