Just wanted to see if anyone else has had the same symptoms and any advice. I’ve been having constant nagging headache for about 2 months on right side of head. I’ve been to neurologist who requested a brain MRI but insurance denied it. Neurologist wanted test to just relieve my anxiety. Since insurance denied MRI a VEP test was done and was told everything looked fine. Have been previously diagnosed with tension headaches and a migraine one time. Just started seeing a chiropractor to see if this can help. I’m at my wits end and am tired of having these headaches. Should I be worried that it’s something more than just a headache??? Anxiety is shooting through the roof because of this.

Constant headaches
Anxietysucks, Actually, I went years with nagging headaches mostly tension/muscular contraction daily headaches with migraines occurring from hormonal fluctuations. As long as it has been addressed by a Neurologist, I wouldn't worry. As painful as it is, it will eventually go away. I only took prescription pain meds for the severe migraines and at that it would only be one time tht I would take it. I would use other modalities that revolved around rest, darkness, cool room, ice paks or warm compresses depending on the type of headache. Making sure I was always well hydrated, relaxation tapes, biofeedback, hypnotherapy, physical therapy and on and on. For the migraines I used acupuncture which helped immensely.
I went through the MRIs but it still boiled down to tension headaches. Addressing your anxiety will help reduce the number and intensity of the tension headaches. As for the migraines, the neurologist would be better able to tell you if it is hormonal, weather related or food related.
You are not alone. Those were bad times for me, the on going pain dragged me down physically and mentally. I hope you find some ways to help yourself and not rely on too much pain meds, it can only results in rebound headaches. Found that out the hard way. My best to you. xx
I have suffered with anxiety for 3 years now and i have had every symptom u can think of! Im currently on my second month of these headaches which i get everyday and they seem to shift from the front the side n the back each time, i am on a low dose of amitriptaline as the doctor has said they are cluster headaches which makes sense but i have to fight the thought daily that it could be something serious. 😢 #anxietysucks!
