I am worried there is something wrong. I've had headaches (frontal/back/temples/top of head) for about 7 weeks straight now, for about 90% of each day. Then, for the last 6 weeks or so, I've had a pressure/full/snapping sensation in my ears when swallowing. Fluid was seen in my right ear, but not the left ear by the neurologist. My MRI came back fine and doctor did bloodwork (CBC w/ diff) which came back fine as well. I'm worried it's some horrible infection still. My health anxiety has been amped since these headaches began, but dont remember being stressed prior to the start of these headaches. Very strange. So, now after Googling (which is bad), I think I have a strange bacterial infection like Syphilis or something. I read that headaches everyday and ear pressure can be caused by this and I really worry now. I just want to get on with my life.
Has anyone ever heard of syphilis causing headaches everyday for this long? Or, ear pressure, popping when swallowing? Or, is this strictly my stress/anxiety causing my headaches/ear pressure? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry, I know this post was long.
Thank You.

I too am having daily headaches/ head pressure.. whooshing ear ! I have put mine down purely to the stressful situation I’m going through!
Maybe you too , are stressed about something ,even the symptoms themselves can cause the cycle .. of fear anxiety fear symptoms hence more headaches.. you should feel reassured that you’ve been checked and hopefully if you can relax a little your symptoms will diminish.. best of luck !
Hi, I was not tested for syphilis, but my white blood count on the CBC was normal. Should I be worried about syphilis? Does anyone know if this causes prolonged everyday headaches and ear snapping/popping/fullness?
I’m no gp.. but I wouldn’t of thought so .. syphilis is an infection .. I’d of thought any blood test would show up any abnormalities.. from which they’d carry out further tests ..probably best to go back to your gp .. for more reassurance if things persist though. Take care.
Tension headaches can come on everyday , the pain is different and can last from weeks to months . About 6 weeks ago I called an ambulance as I was having a panic attack and boom this headache from hell . They thought bleed on brain but after a CT scan and then another CT angiogram of the brain it was clear . They put it down to tension headaches . I still have headaches on and off and bad shooting pain into
Jodz, I don't think most people can even imagine how the pain from a tension headache can impact our lives. Migraines are intense but usually more short lived. With a tension headache, like you said, can go on from weeks to months. (which mine did) Knowing what you are dealing with and where it is coming from should help reduce some of your anxiety although I know when in pain is hard to do.
Keep working on relaxation methods, which will help with pain reduction as well as muscles tension release. All this will pass too. xx
Actually Agora 1 when my headaches where severe my anxiety was hardly present as my focus was on my headaches . They are the worst headache ever and bloody scary .
Yes tension and stress on the body can cause havoc on us . Xx
Hi. Wondering if you ever found relief from your 6 week headache? I've had one for about a month now. Temples, back of head, one spot on my forehead above my eye. Worse when I lie down. I've almost convinced myself I have a tumor, I'm terrified. Went to the eye doctor, I have astigmatism in both eyes, but I'm still so scared. Going back to the doctor on the 2nd. Hoping I can get a scan to ease my worried mind. This anxiety is seriously ruining my holidays. I wake up in the night and it's the first thing I think about. When I think about the headaches I get a tingly feeling all over the side of my head. Did you find anything to give you relief?
Hi rhubarb012! I’m having the same issue. I’ve had a headache for almost 2 months now. It goes from my temple area to my forehead just above eyebrow and is only one sided. My neurologist scheduled me for an MRI just to help me with my anxiety but insurance denied it. The neurologist has done all the exams in the office and has even done a VEP test and everything is fine but I still worry that something is wrong. I just started going to a chiropractor to see if he can make adjustments that will help with headaches and anxiety. I just want to get on with my life and enjoy it!!
