Does Gilbert O’Sullivan’s record Alone Again Nauturally resonate with anyone else? Old song but I feel it.

Why are depression and anxiety bedfellows? An unfunny Laurel and Hardy. Why me? I’m 62. I’ve done my stint with them. I’ve hung on. Just. They’ve ruined what could’ve been a fulfilling useful life. Locusts; the pair of them. Now a sad lonely old useless man. Wish they’d go. I’ve nothing left to give them save the obvious. They’ve sucked the life out of me. Destroyed me. But I’m hanging on. Worse for loads of others. That kind of emphasises my own pathetic uselessness.

I doubt very much that you are useless or pathetic; who are the 'locusts' Lonliness is so awful; i am in a lonely situation myself now since my partner died just over a month ago; i feel lost, totally. Who has sucked the life out of you?? What do you do on a daily basis? x
