Any one else have to wear a 30 day holter monitor? How do you deal with it on so long and the irratation the sticky pads cause. I can take it off to shower but have to put it back on right after. I'm only on day 5. I feel like I can't do anything because it's on.

Is that a heart monitor? I have just had one on for a week and that was bad enough, ended up with a bad rash from the plaster.

Hi Rgnonti,

Are you checking in with your doctor before the 30 days are up? My friend has an appointment every 4 weeks. If her doctor finds what he is looking for prior to the end of 30 days, she may be able to return your monitor sooner.

If you get a rash, or itch or redness or other reaction to the sticky pads, I would be contacting the person that issued it for Plan B. Sometimes these allergies cannot be predicted, especially if you don't have known allergy to bandaids /plasters before being fitted.
