Did anyone have a racing heart with anxiety

Racing heart
Probably almost everyone. It’s hortible but quite normal. Anxiety can affect us in so many ways. As if we are not anxious enough the symptoms mimic very serious diseases like heart disease. The best thing you can do is work on coping skills and relaxation techniques. I’ve done meditation classes, acupuncture, hot baths, walking but concentrating on breathing and all the sights, sounds and smells you come across and trying to really focus on them as you walk. Exercise is the best medicine. Idle minds breed anxiety and negativity. I hope you find your peace.
Thank you
Do you take meds
I do take meds but I am trying to start weaning off. I’m trying to use more natural methods. I don’t want to be reliant on meds anymore. I have though for years. It’s all personal preference I just am really starting to feel like a different person. So far I only lowered one dosage on one med. I actually take several and I’m sick of it but everyone is different and affected differently. If not for meds I’m not sure I could have gotten past these last few years so I could work on coping and relaxation techniques. I also still stay anxious pretty much 24/7 I just don’t have as many panic attacks. I’m also used to it. Getting off meds will take a while and may not work for me but it’s worth it to me to try. I even thought about going inpatient and just detoxing so I can try it faster but I’m not even sure that’s possible. Being inpatient in the beginning was the best thing I’ve done! I highly recommend it. It sounds awful but I got my meds adjusted and learned so much. That was several years ago. You need to do what is best for you! I needed inpatient at the time. I had some very traumatic things all at the same time and I just could not function. Meds weren’t helping and I needed help! I hope you can find what works best for you! I didn’t but I need to recommend natural methods first so your body can learn to do what it is supposed to do on its own. Mine couldn’t. I needed meds at the time. Whatever you decide will be fine for you.
Yes! Pretty often.
Yes I am now on Beta Blockers for it, think highest mine went was 180bpm which made it become irregular as the electrical signals in my body didn’t know what to do as my body was pumping more adrenal than needed cause of anxiety. Been back and forth doctors and hospitals last four months as I thought I had a heart condition but so far everything has come back normal.
My doctor changed my meds and I'm very lighted dizzy, pressure in my head. Not sure if it's anxiety or the medication. I'm scared
It’s very important that you document and discuss with your doctor any symptoms or side effects you may be having. That’s why I went inpatient so they could assess and change to find the best combo and dosages for me. Regular communication with your doctor is important. Keep a journal of anxiety levels on scale of 1-10 a few times a day with the activity at the time along with all symptoms and questions you have for your doctor. I always make notes to take to doctor because I get very anxious and forget things. It really helps.
Thank you so much. I always want to cry because I'm scared. I always have a symptom because I can't stop the fear.
I want inpatient. But my family is screaming at me and they scream at me when the symptoms are bad. They don't want me on medication
My alcoholic husband is the same way! They don’t walk in your shoes so they can’t truly understand! Only you can. We all here have very similiar stories. Each one personalized for us. You have to do what is best for you! You are the one that has to live that life. I’m sure they would enjoy you more if you were healthy! Anxiety and stress is one of the leading causes of stress. If you are of age then you don’t need permission to get healthy. Just because you go to therapy or inpatient does not mean you have to be on meds. I wish I never started but I know at the time I truly needed to do it. I’ve learned and grown a lot. There are many all natural ways of handling anxiety. Only you can decide what’s right for you. I’m on 4-5 meds just to function at a very mediocre level. Quitting is the hardest part. Would I do it again? Absolutely because I was not in the right frame of mind at the time to try a more natural approach. It’s been many years for me. I just now have gotten to the point where I feel like I can start to lower and possibly wean off some. We’ll see. Don’t let others opinions dictate what is best for your body.
