Yes I get them everywhere, stomach, legs, butt, chest, back, arms. I get them daily but don’t let them worry me I know it’s nothing serious.

I have had anxiety for over 35 years. It manifested in GAD. I have extreme health anxiety especially heart related. Anyhow a couple of years back I started getting jerks in my legs at night as soon as I closed my eyes. I also noticed they got worse if I was particularly anxious. Over the last 3 years I had to have two lots of surgeries which caused major anxiety issues (both times my daughter slept at the side of me)Since then the twitches in body and jerking of legs are more extreme. I thought it was a type of restless legs but after seeing a neurologist and an mri (why do we do this to ourselves) I was diagnosed as having a hypersensitive nervous system! No s@&! We are complex beings and having anxiety makes us even more so. However we are stronger than we could ever believe. Remember that x

Hi yes I get them every day. However I am trying not to give them much attention. They are part of me and make up who I am but I will not let them get to me as I know they are relatively harmless x

Yeah I get them too. When it first started happening I didn’t realize it was connected to my anxiety but I was told by my doctor that it is a symptom that some people get with this disorder. Just another one of the many bonuses we get to experience.

I feel that mine got worse when I started taking medication. I’ve come off my medication a few years ago but the muscle twitches still remain.

I get them everyday. Sometimes random light ones and they move around. Sometimes they are strong and pick a spot and stay a while. Yesterday and this morning my lower lip had a mind of its own. I’ve had this 2 years. I’m told i have bad anxiety. I always feel fine. I do have stress. Never thought i was that bad though. But i went in beta blockers last month for 300+ palpitations a day. After all the tests i was fine. It’s hard for me to believe anxiety is doing all of this to my body and not something worse. My mind always goes to the dark side.
