Hi, I think I'm suffering with anxiety, my heart is fluttering all the time my chest feels tight like panicky all the time. Also shaking inside, no interest in anything. My mind doesn't stop thinking, no matter how hard I try not to think about it!! It's feels scary! Had ECG and I'm having ectopic beats. Doc said that's not dangerous. Just want to be my old self again! Tried antidepressants but they make me feel ill!
Any suggestions what I can do, thanks x
I was in a terrible state 3 weeks ago. My gp prescribed sertraline. I have had the worse 3 weeks in my life with fast heart rate, palpitations, weakness and nause. I was bedridden for 5 days. Today is day 25 of takin the tablets and I woke up feeling like my old self again. I was so anti tablets, believing all I needed was a good talking to. No longer. I’ve struggled for too long.
I had this feeling that my heart was skipping beats or outright stopping altogether. It scared the hell out if me. I went to the ER several times. They couldn't see any issue on ekg or heart monitor. I also did a Holter test - that watches your heart for a full 24 hours. I needed it to feel relief from the constant worrying about my heart. When that came back normal I finally felt convinced. Pairing that with taking an ssri regularly, I hardly ever experience that awful feeling anymore.
