Lump in throat

Hi I have a feeling like there is something in my throat and it feels like it goes further down . Have had it for over a week . I have the urge to eat something really sharp/rough to get rid of it ??

Hi Jodz, there have been 3 people on this forum in the past 24 hours mentioning the feeling of having a lump in their throat. As Blackcat says it is an anxiety thing, it's known as Globus Hystericus, I had it 20 years ago, it will go in time and goes sooner if you don't stress about it.

If you're still concerned see your doctor for reassurance, a quick look at your throat should enable him/her to set your mind at rest.

Oh really I haven't seen them , must scroll through and look . It's just so bloody annoying and I'm not letting it worry me , but it's just really uncomfortable . Can't believe it has a name . Thanx for the information 👍
