Since then, I had a couple days where things seemed for the most part better... Came to the conclusion that I was probably just imagining things. Been counting calories the past few days, drinking only diet soda and water.
And then tonight I went out to eat with a friend. Drank some iced tea with only 3 packs of sugar (should be noted I also had caesar salad and cheese ravioli), and towards the end of the meal/since then I've experienced some throbbing pain in fingers (mostly my left index), and not sure if real or not, but I thought in a few toes as well. Currently obsessing over whether or not my left index fingertip feels clammy/weird. :/ I'm only 24 years old; I'm hoping this is just my anxiety acting up. I just feel really worried/nervous. I don't want to have diabetes or something.

Just pressed on your link and read your last post , you have some great replies from members , I wonder if you have read them and took them on board because you don't seem to have acknowledged the members that took the time to try and help support you
I have to agree with them you defiantly sound like you have Health Anxiety and I think it will be mind of matter bringing these symptoms on but the best thing you could do is go and see your Doctor if you have not already , get a medical so they can check you over and I am sure you will get the all clear that you are fit and healthy but always good to have that peace of mind from the professionals and then once they have given you that all clear ask what they can maybe refer you for to help you with your anxiety , tell them just how you are obsessing and see what they can offer as well as getting support from the Community but remember when we do get replies it is usually from a member that has their own issues as well so a quick Thank you really does go along way when they have took the time to reply
No one hounds on here especially not me , just suggestions and we can all forget sometimes after all we are human but that is when reminders / suggestions can come in handy , I know I need them from time to time
Hope you get the help and support you need and are feeling a lot better than you were x
Last night ended up being really rough; didn’t fall asleep till 6am because I started experiencing some tingling or something weird in my right foot. Maybe this was caused by me spending a couple hours reading about diabetes and its symptoms? I remember reading about that symptom and thinking, “Now I bet my foot will start tingling or something within an hour or so” and sure enough it did. For what it’s worth, I could reach down and feel my foot and my foot had full sensation and felt pretty normal. But just lying there in bed, I was convinced it was tingly and it was so uncomfortable that it kept me awake for several hours. I really hope that this is just a classic case of me thinking too much. Anyways thanks for the response; have a nice day.
When you have health anxiety the worse thing you can do is read about symptoms or go on Dr Google , they always throw out the worse scenario as well as once we have read something straight away our minds will think , that's it I can feel that to as the mind is a powerful thing
I used to do all this and once when I went to my Doctor as I had diagnosed myself via Dr Google she just looked at me and said , Has Google done you any blood tests ? has Google examined you ? has Google got your medical history ? of course the answer was no to all three to which she replied , well which one would you like to be your Doctor , me or what you read on Google , I choose her of course and ever since I have asked my Doctor if I think something is wrong which is so much more reliable
Anxiety wants us to fear because the more it can make us fear the more control it has over us so it will be elated and even be part of the reason you go reading up on medical things because the fear pushes us in to doing so we have to be stronger than the fear and resist and change the way we think talk ourselves out of this pattern we get into and we can with the right support and practice
I am sure what you were feeling no doubt will have been made worse with your anxiety and sometimes it is quite normal that we feel tingles , pains and so on and most of the time they come and within days or even less they go again
Keep pushing that fear to one side and resist looking , reading or watching anything health related , it will be a huge help in taking steps to overcome how you are feeling x
