Hi Gloria_carr,
I too suffer from Tinnitus. It is like a flea on a dog. Very annoying and you can't always scratch it.
My doctor
* reminds me that stress, including the stress from being overly anxious is my cause of Tinnitus
* makes working to reduce and eliminate unhealthy anxiety and stress the number one priority in my treatment plan e.g. regular exercise, yoga and meditation plus regular talking therapy.
As my anxiety and stress are reduced, ringing in my ears goes away. The more rested my body becomes, the less of an issue Tinnitus becomes.
From experience, it takes some time for my body to recover from elevated stress, you may need to work at stress reduction for a while before meaningful results can appear.
Unfortunately, it comes back again :(. If stress at works becomes too much, I take a mental health day here and there to recover. Me time to unwind is a fabulous thing.
I found lots of good info about the how, why treatments and at the following site

Hi blackcat4013, is that what both you and Gloria have Tinnitus? I'm sorry I didn't know that. I knew someone who had that when they got out of the service. I'm going to hang onto the site you posted and share that. Thank you for sharing that important information. x

Hi Gloria,
It's good that you been checked out by the doctors.
Just to let you know every symptom/condition has a medical name used by doctors - it helps to describe and discuss what is happening to you.
If you don't have a physical cause or an event that is upsetting you, it's your anxiety (mental health condition) that is the cause and the tinnitus is the symptom. Hard to believe, but it's true.
Refer back to the Anxiety Centre.
Definitely give yoga or meditation a try - there are lots of YouTube videos to guide you at home.
