I was watching a movie and for a moment iv got panic and my heart stopped for 4 seconds. Why ? I'm sick ?

Hi Nagato_yahito, were you by any chance watching a scary movie? Sometimes even though we are doing something, our anxious mind is a thousand miles away. Enough to produce panic. Also when the heart skips or produces palpitation, we sense this strange feeling which sends adrenaline into our system causing fear and then a panic attack. The heart isn't really stopping but pausing for a few seconds and then the heart automatically needs refill and exerts enough pressure to cause that sudden boom feeling. It is not dangerous, it is not harmful. It's our body taking care of itself. You are not sick. It is something that happens to overanxious people. Our bodies are so over sensitized that any little thought, noise even smell can send us on a whirlwind of fear. I'm glad you found this forum. This happens to me sometimes, but I find I am holding my breath when I'm concentrating and then my heart will seem to give a little thump or flutter to remind me to breathe.
