Hi, I'm new to this site and really need some help or tips regarding how to deal with anxiety. I have it around 4 times a week on average for the past year and symptoms can start as early as I wake up. I had a string of semi traumatic experiences happen to me roughly a month or so after my anxiety started which could be a potential cause although these issues I don't think about on an everyday basis. I'm currently a college sophomore, and my anxiety has caused a strain in my relationship due to my excessive negativity and worry. My major symptoms include rapid heartbeat/heart beating out of my chest/feeling of abnormal heartbeat nausea (like a ball in the back of my throat), major loss of appetite, cloudy/heavy head, and a sometimes very negative outlook on my life regarding school, friends, trying to find work, and within myself. I also overthink so much to the point that I have headaches and aches around my temples and front/top of my head. Any help or further explanation I would be happy to receive/give!

Have been dealing with anxiety for the past year
High there, sorry about the things that have effected you. I have been suffering with similar things for a year also and it's so exhausting every day or so. All I can say is that you have done a good thing coming on here! I always have doubts and things and it reassures me when I speak with people that have or are dealing with similar things. Also you need to believe that it is just anxiety and accept that and it will help a bit. Do you take and medication at all? Or so any kind of sports?
I haven't taken any medication or done any counseling. I live in a really nice area but don't have a support system at home, so I've learned to deal with my problems independently (for the most part) I actually go to the gym frequently and have played many sports in the past including Rugby, and Golf! Things with negativity and worry I can tell myself it's anxieties but when it comes to physical symptoms I don't know how it can manifest all from anxiety.
I am suffering for simular things but have not long known it was due to anxiety, however my doctors have reccomended medication and/or some form of counselling, have you tried any of this? (could use some advice). However for college my doctors have written a letter for me to give lectures so they are aware and it has helped me a lot during classes as i oftern cry when i am stressed. Though i am sorry about your experiences
It's all caused by adrenaline, which is very powerful. nopanic.org.uk/anxiety-symp...
You could try meditation or mindfulness, which you can do privately or as a class at your gym perhaps, but if you've experienced traumatic events you may will benefit from talking them through with a counselor ,121 and perhaps also learning some techniques to interrupt the pattern of anxiety.
