Occupation is good for us when we're suffering from anxiety, it takes our focus off our fake health symptoms and directs our interest elsewhere. Just staying at home means you've all the time in the world for introspection: the more our mind concentrates on some imagined symptom in some part of our body the more anxiety is willing to oblige by fabricating the symptoms you fear.
I would suggest you accept the bad feelings and go back to work. After all, you no doubt know that the bad feelings and symptoms of anxiety are only 'feelings', they're not real physical illnesses that are life threatening in any way. So accept them for what they are: a few short circuits in your nervous system caused by too much stress, worry and overwork.
Maybe talk it over with your doctor, maybe ask for a small prescription of tranquilisers to help you get back to work. There are more people around than you think who get on with their job despite all kinds of bad feelings which they just accept for the time being.
I took off 8 weeks from work due to anxiety and going back made a big difference to how I felt. I did not think I was ready but I had to go back because I ran out of paid time off. I went back half days first to get used to being back. Going back to a routine made me feel more normal and def helped me get off the couch and be more social and active Of course medication and therapy also helped me get back to work.
