Do you guys think there will ever be a cure for mental disorders, especially anxiety? So many people suffer from it but there's still nothing to fix it. They can just treat it, which is find but it'd be nice to have anxiety for the right things and not dumb things. Idk, im just a little frustrated because I hate being like this. I wanna be back to normal
A cure?: Do you guys think there will ever... - Anxiety Support
A cure?
Are you doing anything to help yourself or are you just relying on the doctors?
Im trying things to help myself. Eating right, exercising, reading, etc..
Keep at it and eventually you will win.
Hi alexis199, there is a cure for anxiety which has been around for a long time. A doctor by the name of Dr. Claire Weekes did research and wrote a book about finding the key to ridding yourself of anxiety. The key is "Acceptance". When you accept that it is anxiety causing all your numerous symptoms, then and only then will the symptoms disappear. Without acceptance, the adrenaline from fear, keeps escalating and causing more panic and worry until you have gone into a circle of fear. And you are right back where you started from.
Reading Dr. Weekes book or listening to her CD on Hope & Help for your Nerves will give you some insight as to how anxiety stays alive in our mind and body. She also explains how to approach the fear, not to be afraid, accept and embrace it as not harmful. Float past if. Anxiety is a bully that taunts your mind and tells you lies which brings on your fears. Once you start to let the bully know you are not longer afraid, you will no longer allow him to have control, then you will get control of your life back. The bully will lose interest and disappear...
So alexis, we have the solution. We just have to put it into play.
P.S. Dr. Claire Weekes has some free videos on her teachings on YouTube. Good Luck x
Hi , I’ve been in and out of hospitals a lot lately and I’ve come to a conclusion that you never come out feeling well , you might have been cured but you always feel bad . The answer for me is guided breathing, fresh air healthy eating and most importantly a good nights sleep and that’s something you never get in hospital.
The "cure" is to stop trying to find a cure. They key is accepting your anxiety, not saying you accept but truly accepting it which is not at all easy. As Agora1 has explained Dr Claire Weekes explains how to do it.
