I don't think it can be "cured" for good but I think there are ways to manage it. I'm currently reading a book called DARE that is pretty good so far. The main concept is to embrace your anxiety and don't fight it because fighting it is what makes it worse. There are some interesting tips in it that I'm pretty excited to try.
Thank you Michele for taking the time to reply. When you say to embrace your anxiety and not to fight it, did you mean to not do anything to relieve you from the symptoms/panic attacks (like distracting, deep breathing, isolating yourself, etc.)? Thank you.
The main concept in the book is to try and first diffuse the anxiety and then accept that it's going to happen because according to the concepts that are in the book the more we try to fight anxiety, the worse it gets.
I don't know that I would be great at that part to be honest. I do try to take deep breaths and focus on other things when my anxiety hits. Sometimes it works and other times my mind is racing so bad that it does nothing.
